Submissions Guidelines - Sitting Groups Listings

What events may be listed?

Inquiring Mind includes listings for weekly meditation (“sitting”) groups throughout the vipassana/Theravada community. These may be groups led by meditation teachers, or they may be peer-led groups. Many groups also offer meditation instructions during their meetings.

What is the cost?

There is no required fee for listings. Instead, we rely on your generosity through voluntary donations. Our suggested donation is $25 for each group listed.

What information should be sent to Inquiring Mind?

For each group to be listed please include:

- Location (City/State/Country)

- Group name or contact person’s name

- Contact phone number

- Website or email address

- Teacher name (if applicable); please indicate whether the teacher is recognized in the vipassana community or is a graduate of the Community Dharma Leader program.

- Practice tradition: please indicate whether the group practices vipassana meditation or practices in another Buddhist tradition

- Meditation instruction: please indicate whether the group offers meditation instructions during its meetings.
